came across these while browsing at Yahoo!'s games site. check them out!
Free Rice www.freerice.com i liked this most from the three, kasi it's a vocabulary builder. in this game, every time you correctly define a word, Freerice.com donates 20 grains of rice to the UN World Food Program, who in turn distributes it to hungry people around the world. hebigat, diba? plus, the game's free kaya you can play it endlessly. if you're a bum, and a logophile, and an altruist (or just one of the above, haha), this game is for you!
Glupod www.glupod.com
i haven't tried this pa since it hasn't been launched yet (duh. haha). pero according to the site, to play this game, players create a digital pet called a Glupod, choose an underpriveleged child or a cause to represent, and go about playing other gamers for in-game currency called "glucs" which then eventually can be converted into real-world funds. ang alam ko may bayad siya kaya sa mga rich and generous dyan, para sa inyo ang game na 'to. haha.
The Tuttles Madcap Misadventures: Star light Charity Challenge www.tuttlesfamilygame.com
whew! haba. hehe. this is potentially the most complicated of the three dahil it's an action adventure game. i tried na the demo version, and found na in this game you'll join the Tuttle family on a vacation gone awry. this also costs money and a percentage of the price tag goes directly to Starlight Starbright Children's Foundation, a 25-year old organization dedicated to helping ill kids and their families cope with their circumstances.
now that's good fun.
 | yeah! free rice is nice! ooh. it rhymes. ehe. |
